Great interview about the events in Libya

I applaud CNN for actually doing an interview with a legitimate source and wish this information were more widely disseminated.  This is a black on the Obama administration that no one is talking about.  When Romney brings it up, he's criticized for "politicizing" a tragedy.  I don't think the Obama Administration should get a free pass just because it's election season.

Who is Paul Ryan?

Interesting CNN video on Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney's VP selection.  I'll continue to post as I learn more about him.  What are your initial thoughts?  Mine was, at least it's not Palin!

Donald Trump abandons the GOP

Trump dumps GOP

In my opinion, the GOP should be breathing a sigh of relief as "The Donald" officially distances himself from them. I get a kick of Donnie and his reality show as much as the next guy, but c'mon.  He's been playing the "maybe I'll run for President" game for years and he only does it for publicity.  Why do we keep taking him seriously?  The source article below actually has a statement from a Trump spokesperson implying that Donald Trump is the only one who's been saying that Iraq is imploding.  Really?!  Stop using our political system to build your brand Donald.  At least his name is now off the Republican brand, for now.  Who wants to bet $10,000 he'll jump right behind whichever Republican the GOP puts up?

Gingrich and Perry not on Virginia ballot

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich will not appear on the GOP primary ballot in Virginia, joining Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Does this concern anyone else?  Two front runners can't get 10k signatures to be on the ballot?  Is a sign of public opinion or a lack of organization on the candidates part?  Either way, not good news for the GOP.

House, Senate on payroll tax collision course

Payroll Tax - Kicking the can down the road

House Speaker John Boehner apparently reversed his position on the extension after caucus opposition, a GOP source says.
Two months go by awfully fast.  The American People are guilty of allowing our politicians to play this game on us all the time.  They allow a two month extension in the hopes that this issues falls out of our very short memories and they can maintain the status quo.  Why don't we hold these guys accountable for doing what we pay them to do, make decisions on our behalf.  I can forgive someone for making the wrong decision from time to time, but I can't forgive a governmental body for constantly "kicking the can down the road."  Speak up folks!
